MD. Scandi-Pro

Stuart has been a frequent Visiting Master at our wellbeing center, however I never had the chance to experience his work until his 3rd visit. I went to the session without expectations. After the session, I was sharing my experience with guests and I realized that the pain in my left arm wasn’t there anymore !!!! I was shocked because it was constantly there for 3 years and it made me feel very weak. Now that it’s gone and after many months, it has not come back; THE SESSION WITH STUART CREATED A KIND OF MIRACLE FOR ME AND I AM VERY, VERY HAPPY ABOUT IT.

I recently attended a workshop with Stuart. I think anyone owes it to themselves to spend time with Stuart. You not only owe it to yourself, but to your family, partner, colleagues and even your business. Stuart has a wonderful ability to empower you without feeling you are being taught to or lectured. His evidence-based approach is neither spiritual or religious, just very practical for today’s lifestyle. This approach, as well as Stuart’s background as an international lawyer, makes the workshop extremely relevant for all participants. I have learned that the time you invest with Stuart is returned to you in multiples.

The private, one to one, coaching with you was excellent. The approach, and your personal teaching, made the entire experience very enjoyable and beneficial. Following on from this, I asked you to teach one of your corporate programmes to my staff. I was similarly impressed with the way this was taught and equally, with the very positive feedback from the staff who took part; all of whom enjoyed the course and the approach and all of whom clearly found benefit from this teaching. I have no doubt that this teaching will help keep our staff healthier, better able to deal with the stresses of the job and more focused – and I am sure this will, in turn, benefit the business.

We recently finished evaluating a two-phase pilot, working with four groups of cardiac rehab patients and diabetes patients. Primary research outcomes were to assess the acceptability of Stuart’s programme and secondarily, to look at patient assessed benefits (physical and emotional). The University’s own underlying focus was on worry, stress & rumination in relation to long term health conditions and the findings demonstrated reduced levels of these. The pilot was very successful and a paper is now being written up by the University. An abstract of the paper has already been presented at the College of Medicine annual conference.

The study’s initial findings suggest a significant reduction in worry. Participants also reported a range of psychological and physical benefits and felt more able to manage their long-term conditions. Professor Chris Dickens, Manchester University

PTSD – Stuart created and delivered a research-based Meditation & Mindfulness programme for armed forces veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The programme was evaluated by Edinburgh Napier University which found that the programme delivered statistically significant benefits to the participants in every area evaluated. Following the success of the PTSD study, Stuart was invited to deliver an international, research led study, based on his programme for armed forces veterans with PTSD and collaborating with different countries and additional researchers.
Midwifery Conference – Stuart’s sessions were, without exception, evaluated as being both excellent in content and presentation. All the staff and delegates felt they had gained a great deal from these sessions. Training & Development Lead, Midwifery Conference
Thanks so much for coming and delivering the meditation and mindfulness session for MIND’s head office. I was really pleased with the session and I have had lots of positive feedback from staff. MIND Mental Health charity

Some Press Quotes:

There are certain things to do before one dies. Going to the Chiva-Som spa in Thailand might be one of them. Hooray then, when Chiva-Som comes to ONE, as it did today at Josh Wood’s hub of an Atelier in Holland Park. A team of practitioners, therapists and a five-star chef were flown in from the resort in Hua Hin, Thailand, exclusively for the event. On offer, among other things, were “mindfulness & meditation group tasters” from the spa’s Visiting Master, meditation coach and positive psychology practitioner, Stuart Bold. British Vogue

The following is an excerpt from a feature in London’s Metro newspaper – an interview with Dr Gina Johnson concerning Stuart’s meditation & mindfulness programme:

It’s soundly based on Western scientific research & evidence. It is straightforward, easy to understand and follow, and has no religious connotations.

Developing a meditation practice has huge benefits for both mind and body. It is particularly helpful for stress-related problems, but I would have no hesitation in also recommending the programme to anyone as a way of improving both their mental and physical health.

Stuart’s course is outstanding (for the reasons mentioned above) and is perfectly tailored to patient health needs. Until the development of this course, it has been difficult for Doctors to find a reputable course to which they can refer their patients to learn evidence-based meditation techniques, without any religious connotations.

It has no side effects, is free, and creates a wonderful sense of well-being.

Undoubtedly.
It elicits a profound relaxation response in the body, which favourably alters the balance of hormones (such as adrenaline) and many other stress indicators such as blood pressure and cholesterol.
